WEEK 2

Live footage

Live Action

My team went to the green screen room to shoot live-action footage on Saturday.

Based on feedback from mentors, we changed the color of the fire to blue to create a more hi-tech feel, and it works perfectly well!

For the final shot, we have an alternative approach to delivering the watch. We tried to make it feel like it's being displayed in a gallery as an art piece, but closing the box still does not feel very welcoming.

So here is another way: we let the actor walk in holding a luxury watch storage box, then he puts the box down on the table, opens the box, and leaves. After he leaves, a spotlight turns on, illuminating the watch and making it sparkle.

We will ask mentors for their opinion.

Research & Development

test 01

I start the second water shot, which is water pouring down on the watch, and here is the flipbook.

Even though the water flows down from a flat surface, it has a pattern and causes the render to look weird.

The water goes way too fast.

test 02

I slowed down the velocity, but the water still had that pattern.

test 03

I adjust the viscosity and the substeps trying to fix the pattern, but it doesn't work.

test 05

test 05-2

I adjusted the emit amount( test 04) and the time scale( test 05), but it didn't work.

I will keep working on this shot.
